Dear husband - Day 8
Dear husband,
I love you with all of my heart and I am so thankful for God gave me YOU! You are an amazing man of God and have taught me so much. You care for me without hesitation, you encourage me daily, and your compliments are always uplifting. Thank you for working so hard to provide for us. I love you!

Dear husband - Day 6
I know that you will always be by my side when I need you, but since you’re not a mind reader, sometimes I will still have to ask. Grief, strife, fear and disappointment will make both of us fall short for one another once in awhile. Thank you for always being so optimistic first. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to care for me during times when I really need you. And even though you’ll never tell me everything I need to hear (again, because you’re not a mind reader), if I look closely enough, I can see and feel your love, appreciation and admiration for me in so many things that you do.
I’m glad you threw the fairy tale away. And there’s no one else in this sometimes crazy, sometimes dreary, sometimes beautiful, sometimes ugly world I’d rather have by my side. While it’s fun to share our dreams and pretend that little problems don’t exist from time to time, I don’t know if I could enjoy reality with any other person as much as I enjoy it with you.
I love you <3

Dear husband - Day 5
You are not the man of my dreams.
I can give a long list of why I love you. However, I do not love you for just that. I love you for all the wrong reasons as well. I love you for all the things that you are not, all the things that you do not do and the man of my dreams that you could never be.
I used to dream of the perfect man, the perfect husband. Just like the man in romantic movies, they are always so perfect. My dream man would never falter. He would fulfil all my needs and wants, always know what to do or say to everything even without me saying. He would take care of everything so I do not have to worry at all and live happily ever after.
However, after you came into my life, during my bad days when I'm at my worst, I realised that I would rather have you to be by my side, because you are real. Yes, you will not have all the answers to everything because noone does. However, you are always there for me physically, emotionally and spiritually to love me, lead me and support me. Needless to say for my good days because you will always be the first person to share the joy.
I am glad that you do not try making me happy or pretending to be happy every single day because a life of nothing but smiles is not a real life. We have struggles too and we fight each other too but as long as we pass through the stage, the smiles at the end would be more meaningful.
Thanks for being genuine, human, flawed, and most importantly, for never even trying to pretend that our life is like a dream. Thanks for being so patient when I'm being unreasonable. Thanks for fighting my struggles together. Thanks for knowing when to let go and let me fight my own struggles if that should be the way for me to grow and gain my victory, strength and wisdom.
Thanks for not being the man of my dreams.

Dear husband - Day 4
Communicate effectively
Communicating effectively is a skill; a life skill really, that we learn only through experience. Just like how a baby who only uses body language or facial expressions or baby-talk to communicate with the parents. Yes, initially it would be difficult for the parents to understand because when a baby cries, it can be either they are hungry/have full diaper/sleepy/feeling unwell. However, through experience or rather, experiments, the parents will understand their baby more effectively.

Dear husband - Day 3
You know, it's not easy living with another individual. Not 2 persons in this world who can have 100% the same characteristics, interests, temperaments, lifestyles, social circles etc. We are so different as individuals. We are so diverse. If we do not learn how to get along well with another individual, disaster will fall very easily.
However, God put this man in my life for a purpose. Only he can complete me, make me whole. It's no longer me myself or he himself. It is also not 1+1 = 2 persons. It's more of 0.5+0.5 = 1.
It's not easy but we both learnt and grew a lot throughout our times together. We still argue and quarrel when we have different opinions but we always talk through and come into one consensus.

Dear husband - Day 2
After being together for 6 years, from courtship to marriage, we have been through everything a couple could think of that could tear them apart but we made it through, sticking to our commitments and promises we made to each other before the Lord and forgiving and accepting each other's flaws.

Dear husband - Day 1
It still amazes me that after turning one BIG round, both of us ended up as husband and wife. Little did I know that the moment you walked into my life, my life would never be the same anymore. It took us such a long time to figure out that all we needed was each other.
God had a plan for us.
God had a plan for us.

Waking up next to you
This is the best part of the day everyday. Waking up next to you. This is also the best part of the end of the day everyday, lying next to you.
As a little girl, I never pictured myself getting into a marriage. I would only played acting as a bride with neighbour using blanket as our wedding gown. Never really understood what or how a marriage life would be like. However, when we started our courtship, when I began day dreaming of marrying to you, it became a very real high chance and I was very excited.
During our pre-marital counselling, we went through exactly what it meant to have a Christian marriage. I was to follow you - fearlessly, lovingly and devotedly all because God is our leader in our marriage. As we entered into our marriage life, I soon realised how difficult it was for me as I struggled to let you lead me, especially in this modern era. I have fought and argued with you about certain decisions you've made. I have learnt that I need to be submissive to you because that's what God has commanded from the beginning.
You always have our family's best interest at heart and have looked to God for guidance. You have been so patient and loving me through all of it. Thank you for continuing leading and never giving up on me since the beginning. With God as our center, we will have all the strength to go through any struggles together. I love you more, tubby.
