My pregnancy journey (Baby project VI - Taggie cube soft toy)

This quick taggie cube soft toy can be completed within a day with some scraps of fabrics and ribbons, stuffed with stuffing and some plastics for some sound effect. I used cotton fabrics with different patterns and varying lengths and styles of ribbons to make it more interesting to play with. I included a bell as well. This DIY is taken from Thingsforboys.com.

First, I cut out squares of fabric (16cm x 16cm).

Then, I matched the fabrics and ribbon pieces and sewn the ribbons onto each fabric pieces about 5mm from the edge of fabric. (Note: I made a mistake here. The ribbons should be sewn towards the centre of the square, not out.)

2 of the squares will be used as the top and bottom of the cube. Then, I sewn the right sides of the 4 pieces together, taking care of the ribbons.

Next, sewn the bottom and top pieces onto the cube with the top piece left with an opening of about 5cm wide for turning the cube right side out and stuff the stuffing. Trim the excess fabric from the corners.

Finally, stuff the cube with stuffing and some plastic and handstitch to close the opening.

Here, a  taggie cube soft toy for baby rainbow!
