Baby kicks and punches

Are you a first time mom-to-be like me?

If yes, you will be uber excited when you feel the first movement and kick from your baby. It is the most exciting experience for every expectant moms. It is an indication that there is a life growing inside you. How amazing this feeling is, isn't it? I am so grateful to God that I am able to experience this amazing feeling that only mothers can have.

Baby kicks are a sign that baby is growing healthily and is active. Our baby kicks as a response to the changes in the environment such as when there is sound. Now I try to talk and sing more to her and she responds sometimes with kicks and punches, which made me really really happy and blessed. :)

I remember the first time when I felt that 'one' kick. I was back at hometown, sitting watching TV. That kick was just under my belly button. It was quite surprising. It was really cool but then for the rest of the day, I did not feel any more kicks. So I thought; oh well, it could be just my stomach growling. Few days later, she started kicking and punching me like crazy. Now, I can feel the kicks and punches when I'm just sitting there in front of my laptop or watching TV throughout the day.

I realised when lying on my left side increases the frequency of the kicks. Our baby also kicks after each meal. Doctor advised us to count at least 10 kicks in a day to indicate baby gets enough oxygen and blood sugar supply but I feel I really really don't have to because she is super active. She is like a little gymnast jumping all over.  Now, what I have noticed is that I have a lot of pinpointed kicks on my right side. So I can roughly tell that her feet is over at my right side, while head and arms are over my left side. That's kind of interesting because I always wonder how can people tell how their baby is oriented. I think it's because the feet kicks the strongest compared to the punches.

The kicks made me so excited that whenever I feel kicks I would ask Tubby to put his hands, but then, baby would be like so quiet and so still. That made me feel bad. I hope that's not a bad sign, whoops. HAHAAahahaaHA

It's a weird feeling. I always know that I'm pregnant; I see my tummy growing, I get symptoms and stuffs but now, I really feel like there is a person growing inside me. I'm feeling baby kicks every single day and I love them!!!! <3

I am currently 22 weeks along and enjoying every single moment with baby growing inside me. How time flies. We have been through half of our pregnancy journey together and can't wait to see her in person.

God is great. He made all things beautiful in His time. <3

Stay tuned for the next post on baby project II.
