My pregnancy journey (Baby project I - Quilt blanket)

I’ve been wanting to make a quilt blanket forever, so having our baby to sew for became my perfect excuse to get it done. Learnt it from baby's grandma. I did it little by little, but it was a really simple process. The squares are a decent size, so it doesn’t take forever and it’s simple quilting. So, if you’ve never made a quilt before, this could be a great project for you! (And if you have quilted, it’s still a fun project!)

Since we have not confirmed the gender of our baby yet, I bought a unisex pattern cloth, matched it with red and green. I used red and green also because babies love colour contrast! Finally, I backed this quilt with red cloth to pop the whole quilt up.

Trying out the pattern

It's not perfect by any means since it's my first time doing this but I love how it turned out! Quilt is something that you do not fancy it at first sight, but the more you look at it, the more you love it. At least that's the case for me. :P

We can't wait for the arrival of our baby already! <3

Stay tuned for more baby projects coming up!
