Awful things of being pregnant!

As much as I enjoy being pregnant, I do get bad days too.

I have a higher sense of smell. When I am pregnant, I hated the sense that I always love, grown up loving. It turned out so strong and so potent, it gave me headache. The bad ones are million times worse. I can smell it from very far away. I used to be able to bear with one's fart but now, even a bearable fart smell turned to be the most nauseating smell ever! That's awful!

I get dark spots from nowhere at random areas of my body. Random parts of my body develop patches of darkness. Nipples go broooownn!! No more pink but brown!! dark brown!! I get patches of brown sometimes around my mouth that looks like little moustache. My armpits have brown patches too! That's awful!

I get constipation big time! Sometimes I poop easily, sometimes I don't. If I do poop, it's the hardest poop I ever had in my life. That's awful!

Nauseating and vomitting. When I brush my teeth I love to brush my tongue as well to get rid of the bacteria and the smell after eating. When that toothbrush hit the back of my tongue, it triggers a vomitting feeling. If I happen to smell too much of something good, or something bad, it makes me want to throw up and that's gross. That's awful!

The odds of peeing myself goes up. I have to wear pantyliner all the time. The weight of the baby on the bladder just ain't good for an easy laughing session or coughing session. I had to cross my legs whenever I needed a cough or a sneeze. If I didn't, I would have to run to the bathroom. That's awful!

I burp and fart a lot! No matter what I eat or drink, I get very bloated.  Worse still, the smell of my burp and my fart made me headache and want to throw up! Imagine that, suffocated by your own burp or fart. That's awful!

I get constant vaginal discharge. Fret not, it's totally normal. It's partly because of the increase in oestrogen production and greater blood flow to vaginal area. This discharge is made up of secretions from the cervix and vagina, old cells from the walls of the vagina and normal bacterial flora from the vagina. Although it's normal during pregnancy, but it's still gross. That's awful!

I love sleeping on my back or stomach. Now that I am pregnant, I need to say goodbye to these sleeping positions. Pregnant mothers are instructed to sleep on sides; left sides as much as possible. This literally puts a cramp in my sleeping style. Initially, I woke up very often feeling stiff and uncomfortable and many nights I couldn't sleep well, I always wanted to cry. That's awful!

The hormonal changes in my body gave me hormonal acnes all over my face, back, chest and even stomach! I get emotional out of nothing very easily too. That's awful!

Whenever I am out dining, I will have second thoughts of what I can eat or drink. Never going to be an easy decision for the next few months. I can no longer eat or drink anything I like. No more sashimi, no more half-boiled eggs. That's awful!

Latest update: I am 19 weeks pregnant today! Baby rainbow is the size of a mango. Yummy!
