My pregnancy journey (Baby project VIII - Baby bloomer/diaper cover)

I guess a simple baby bloomer/diaper cover is the perfect thing to wear under a dress or with a little plain/simple design t-shirt or with a bare belly! Then your baby will be chilling in a comfy style. ;)
Once again, simple DIY taken from SeeKateSew.

Always the first step, bring out pattern pieces and tape them together. Then cut 2 fabric pieces.
Stack with right sides facing each other and sew up the side seams and crotch seam. Serge if you have serger, otherwise finish the seam allowances. Clip the seam allowance at the crotch to make it smooth once turned to right side. Serge the top and leg openings.

To make the top 1-inch elastic casing, press over 1 1/2" and sew at 1 1/4". You could also gauge using the elastic as shown below. Sew around the casing, leaving a 1-inch opening to allow for space to insert elastic.

Attach a safety pin to the elastic and thread it through the casing and finally sew the ends of elastic together (Note: measure the length of the elastics making sure they fit your baby; not too tight or too loose). Finally, close the casing.

Follow the same steps for both legs with 9mm wide elastics.

...and you're done!
